Inlays and Onlays

Nashua, NH Dentist

Also called partial crowns or indirect fillings, inlays and onlays provide greater structural reinforcement than a filling, without the tooth preparation required for a dental crown. Inlays fit between the bumps, or cusps, on the biting surface of a tooth, while onlays cover one or more cusps and can extend down a side of a tooth. Patients who have a failed filling, deep fracture, or substantial cavity may be advised to consider an inlay or onlay rather than an direct (composite) filling or a crown. Our goal is to provide the most conservative, yet sufficient and long-lasting restoration for your long-term oral health.
