A smile makeover is a custom treatment plan that combines two or more cosmetic procedures to significantly improve the appearance of a client’s smile. Dr. Ura believes that designing a smile requires looking at the whole face, not just your teeth. Teeth complement your facial features, and their size and proportions are related to your face. Smile design goes beyond appearance because in order to have a long-term, healthy, attractive smile, it must be designed with function in mind. Dr. Ura will use photos and models of your teeth to understand your concerns of the appearance of your teeth. He will also share with you his insights and together, a set of goals can be developed. The next step involves making a wax model of what your teeth can look like. This will allow you to see firsthand and in three dimensions how your teeth can look. If changes are needed, they can easily be made. Once you are both satisfied, an appointment can be made where the wax model is transferred to your teeth, allowing you to “test drive” your new smile. This allows us to still make changes, as the provisional restorations are acrylic. When you and the doctor are pleased with the plan, your final restoration of multi-layered porcelain can be made and inserted giving you the confidence of a beautiful natural smile. A smile makeover is a comprehensive treatment plan, sometimes performed over the course of several appointments or sometimes during a single visit. Possible procedures include:

During the initial consultation, you will also discuss the budget for your treatment. Although cosmetic procedures can be life-changing, they are still elective procedures and are consequently not covered by insurance. Because each plan is customized to the needs and goals of the patient, the cost can vary widely from case to case. Your Timeline

Before beginning, we will recommend the best order for the combined procedures. For instance, it is usually best to undergo whitening before creating customized restorations that match the new color of your smile.

Dr. Ura will often create mockups of restorations such as dental crowns or veneers so you can see and feel what your results should look like. Based on the feedback you provide, we can make any necessary adjustments before finalizing your results.
